Becoming YOur Own Ancestor

Preparing you for What Matters Most

Sacred Moments helps individuals and families create a personalized, comprehensive end-of-life plan—a living roadmap that evolves as life changes and supports you and those you love before, during, and after death.

I support the human experience of living, dying, grief, and remembrance.

Together, we explore what matters most to you, clarify your wishes, document your preferences, preserve your voice and love legacy, and prepare your care partners with guidance that reflects your values, beliefs, culture, traditions, and lived experience.

In addition to personalized planning services, Sacred Moments provides education through workshops, webinars, speaking engagements, and Sacred Moments: The Podcast and YouTube Channel.

What is a Death Doula

A Death Doula is a training professional who provides holistic, non-medical support.  We are also known as an End-of-Life Doula, Soul Doula, Serious Illness Companion, or Death Midwife, and more.

Every death doula brings their own background, training, philosophy, and areas of expertise to this work. No two doulas practice in exactly the same way.

I help healthy individuals prepare for the future by exploring what matters most, having meaningful conversations, and creating comprehensive end-of-life plans that reflect their values, beliefs, and wishes.

When someone is living with a serious or life-limiting illness, I walk alongside them and those who love them by providing education, compassionate presence, advance care planning, family support, legacy work, meaningful rituals and vigils, and guidance through the dying process.

After death, I continue supporting families through grief, memorial planning, and practical guidance as they navigate life after loss.

Every conversation is guided by the individual's goals, relationships, culture, traditions, spiritual beliefs, and the right to live and die on their own terms.

Death Doulas offers education, advocacy, facilitation, coordination and collaboration with healthcare professionals, hospice teams, attorneys, funeral and cemetery professionals, therapists, clergy, and other members of your support team to help bridge the gaps that often exist.

Death DoulasDeath Doulas  specialize in sacred listening and presence to ensure each person's values, wishes, and needs are seen, heard, and honored and no one has to navigate life's most sacred transitions alone.

Death Doulas do many other tasks to serve each individual's non-medical needs.

Why End-of-Life Planning Matters

Why End-of-Life Planning Matters

End-of-life planning is about more than preparing for death, it is about awakening to life.

It invites us to live with greater intention, deepen our relationships, preserve our stories and wisdom, and make decisions that reflect what matters most to us.

Taking time to communicate your wishes, and plan ahead helps ensure your voice is heard, your values are honored, and your loved ones are supported.

Planning ahead can reduce stress, uncertainty, conflict, and unnecessary expense during times of crisis. It can also save your circle of support or loved ones time and heartache while giving them the gift of knowing and honoring the wishes and preferences you communicated in advance, rather than carrying the burden of making difficult decisions while they are also grieving.

End-of-Life planning is an act of love that allows you to live with greater peace today while helping those you love tomorrow.
